This is my favorite pizza. It's walking distance from our house and it has outdoor seating for when we have our kiddo in the stroller. We go here all the time! However, we visited last night with our friends around 6:30 for dinner. Not only did it take us an hour and a half to get our pizza, but they were out of three beers that we ordered between four of us so we all had to drink hard cider because we had already paid! I had to go in and ask how much longer it would be for the pizza and they acted like I shouldn't have been asking. Within ten minutes of asking, the pizza was done. However, the breadsticks we had ordered (an hour and a half in advance) never got made! I am not one to blow up, so I remained calm, but it was difficult not to blow up. The only thing that kept me calm was the sweet cashier. He seemed very stressed and the girls in the back were bossing him around. I felt very bad for him. Not sure who the manager is, but he/she needs a bit more training. From now on, we will be going to a different pizza joint. Very unfortunate.

great food if you don't mind somewhat sub-standard service the workers can either be incredibly friendly and wonderful or seem like you are an inconvenience and don't want you in the store. great prices but still quite sloppy service

I hate that I love their breadsticks so much because the service sucks sooo bad. They never smile, they aren't helpful or fast. I've been here nearly 10x and am always disappointed in the service. There is usually plenty of staff but only one person running register and there never seems to be anyone in charge. The tables are alway dirty and they are rarely super busy. It's hard to say cause the line moves so slow I'm not sure if it's busy or not. That said the pizza is good and if you can get them to make a salad they are good too. It always seems like such a chore when I order one I almost regret it. The breadsticks though are worth it to me. You may not agree.

I just moved to Oregon City in March of this year. I am still trying to get a grasp the (bleak) culinary landscape. Needing a quick dinner and not wanting to force down Domino's again we decided to give Sparky's a shot. Glad we did! The girl on the phone was pleasant, she offered us a special that was a much better deal than what we planned on ordering. When i walked in to pick the pizza up I was greeted immediately, the place looked clean, and the employees were smiling, which is always nice. I ordered a large pizza, chicken, green bell peppers, mushrooms, no cheese (they let me swap cheese for another topping, a lot of places won't) and a second large Hawaiian, extra sauce. Both pizzas were cooked perfectly. They serve a NY style pizza here, very large slices, light on the sauce, so if you like sauce ask for extra (I still thought it was a bit light). We also ordered a side of breadsticks, and they were GREAT! It will be a good option for a quick cheap lunch since they serve by the slice. I left off one star since I have only been here once. And the pizza didn't blow my mind, it was good solid pizza, good smiling service, I will definitely be going back, they may well earn that fifth star!

I have read the reviews. They pull up good points. Many find the service very bad, some find the pizza just okay. They all seem to love the bread sticks. I decided to give it a try with my child who is a great judge of pizza. We started with the basic. A slice of Pepperoni Pizza and one of these famous bread sticks. I am not a huge fan of New York style pizza but I have had some amazing slices in Downtown Portland. This pizza was not amazing, it lacked flavor. I could not taste any spices. The bread stick was massive. It was thick and bready with a pretty generous amount of margarine tasting grease. It wasn't for me. I wouldn't eat it again. As for the service, it was good. The girl behind the counter was very nice. It was not crowded at all when we went which may have contributed to the quality of service. This pizza place is not for me but I do not think it reaches the depths of worst pizza ever. My ten year old pizza companion prefers the pizza across the street at Haggen grocery store.

The only reason I return to this place is because it's the only place other than Haggens that you can order pizza by the slice. I've eaten here several times and each visit has left me with barely lukewarm pizza or a hot pizza that looked (and tasted) like it had been sitting all day long. Go to Haggens. It's far better than this.

They didnt have my favorite chicago pizza out so I tried the meat lovers pizza ... very good still like chicago the best but this was a good replacement. The salads now come in a bowl container instead of that crappy cardboard box ... it makes the salad way easier to eat !!!!

We love Sparky's pizza. The prices are a little high if you just order right off the menu but if you can use a coupon or one of their specials it is right in line with what it should be. We have never at in the restaurant, always pickup for home. Their toppings are way higher quality that you will get at the local chains. The breadsticks are awesome. We are trying to figure out what they put in them because they are pretty addictive. If we are getting pizza to go in OC, this is the only place we go to now.

I really didn't like the pizza. We ordered it because we were over at the growler run and sparkys was close. The delivery guy was nice though, and the bread sticks where yummy!

Excellent prices. I am not sure how long the pizza's have been in the warming case, but they seem to be busy often enough that I am not really concerned by it. The toppings and flavor are always perfect. Sparky's can feed two people, with sodas, for near 10$. That's two large slices, a very large bread stick and the soda. Great deal. They also have beer on tap if you are in the mood for a beer.. and even then, you would be hard pressed to break 15$. Service is good, nice clean tables every time I have walked in. One of my favorite cheap eats in Oregon city. If there was a place in Oregon City that could compete with the prices here, I may have gone 4 stars, but this is the number 1 pizza joint over here.

Great pizza for the price. Excellent bread stix and salad!!!! Pizza by the slice is good, but could be fresher. Order the whole pie and you'll be satisfied.

I love this place. We've only ordered for pickup and delivery but have never been disappointed. They even delivered to us during the snowstorm last winter and were there in like 15 minutes. They have a great variety of pizzas and the prices are pretty decent, plus they will take competitors coupons for the most part. The staff seems to be pretty young but have always been very friendly and helpful. I will continue to go here for as long as I live in Oregon City.

If you're a lover of New York City style pizza then you owe it to yourself to stop by Sparky's Pizza in Oregon City. This pleasant establishment serves the most delicious thin crust pizza. Sparky's pizza crust is exceptional, the sauces are first rate, and this restaurant knows the proper oregano to cheese ratio to make a New York pizza pie really great. Sparky's sports an interior that is small but comfortable. There are a few booths and tables for inside diners. Baseball memorabilia decorates the walls. The owners are definitely diehard Yankees fans. The pizzas have names like "The Manhattan," "The Village Vegi," and "The Midtown Classic." On our visit they even had an eccentric pizza called "The Gary Busey." One of Sparky's greatest strengths is their prices. You can easily purchase a giant pizza loaded with toppings for under $20. Small pizzas hover around $10. Pizza by the slice goes from about $2 to about $3.25 depending upon the toppings. Large soft drinks are bottomless. In addition to pizza Sparky's also makes salads and chicken wings. Sparky's Pizza is one of the best pizza restaurants in the Portland area.

Cheap, not great pizza. It's pretty unremarkable in every sense but the bread sticks are to die for.

Tried Sparky's pizza the other day, it was so good! I was pleasantly surprised to find a pizza for under $10 that was really good! I was skeptical since the price was so good but the crust and toppings were very good. For sure will be going back to eat here again. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were very friendly. Nice to have this place so close to home!

Consistently yummy pizza, good service, it was clean every time I've gone (no leftover stuff from previous customers), nice variety of slice options. I like it here, and their free wifi makes it even better. If you are a mobile worker this is a VERY nice alternative to the Starbucks across the way.

First and last visit today. Pizza: By the slice is a nice "try before you spend more money" idea. $3 got me a HUGE slice of Hawaiian. Really, they get points for the NY style large slices. Get your money's worth there. Crust is thin and wonderfully crispy. It's just...the flavor wasn't there. The sauce was so bland. I was not impressed with this pizza other than the size/crust. Giant Shtick: .99 for a 14" breadstick. Again, great price to product size ratio but flavor wasn't all there. There would be some great bites but most of it was plain. It was worth a shot but I'll be looking for another pizza place in OC.

I love Sparky's, so when I found out they opened one in Oregon City I had to check it out. Do not hold this place against the original on MLK or the Belmont location. OC is a nice, clean, place - but they forgot to teach them how to make the pizza & bread sticks. Undercooked, underwhelming and all around blah.... Such a bummer.
